Objective:
Produce and record a VHS release for alt-jazz outfit Small-town Fiction, combining music production with visual storytelling.
Summary:
"Sodium", an offcut from Small-town Fiction's debut EP, encapsulates bittersweet childhood memories of late-night television viewing at my grandparents' house. As composer, performer, and producer, I created a music video using public domain NASA space programme footage from the 70s and released it on VHS to evoke the nostalgic emotions associated with the composition. The piece, tinged with sadness and complex memories, aimed to capture the essence of those experiences through its musical and visual elements.
