Natural Studio Records

2004–2012

Label establishment & artist development

Client: Natural Studio Records

Objective:

Found and lead a record label specialising in classical and folk music, overseeing production and engineering of its catalogue.

Summary:

As the founder of Natural Studio Records, I produced and engineered a diverse catalogue of classical and acoustic music from 2004-2011. The label launched the careers of emerging artists such as Matthew McAllister, Aisling Agnew, James Akers, Samantha Whates, Blue Rose Code, Euan Stevenson, and Feargus Hetherington, while also releasing albums from established acts like Allan Neave, Amanda Cook, Gordon McPherson, David Ward Maclean, Hebrides Ensemble, and the Scottish Flute Trio. The final release on the label was my own duo project, "Lumière", with pianist Mira Opalińska, featuring unique arrangements of music from arthouse films, which was later reissued by Cześć Records for the Japanese market.
