Objective:
Produce and engineer a solo piano recording of Bach's iconic "Goldberg Variations".
Summary:
This location recording took place over several days in a stunning hall in Rzeszów, Poland. As producer and engineer, my primary focus was to keep the setup simple and the artist relaxed yet focused, allowing pianist Mira Opalińska to deliver her best performance of this challenging work. Utilising my score-reading skills, keen ear, and musical judgement, I ensured an accurate rendition of this well-known piece. The editing process was streamlined thanks to my proficiency with Sequoia's classical editing functionality.
