Live recording & sound reinforcement
Client: Red Stereo & Richard Greer
Objective:
Provide live sound and audio recording on location for a showcase video of an innovative mixed-media work.
Summary:
Richard Greer invited me to record excerpts from his innovative mixed-media work "Each Other". Using my newly configured location recording rig built around an RME M-1610 Pro with AVB protocol, I recorded live audio and output pre-recorded multi-channel audio with individual artist headphone mixes. I edited and mixed the audio, utilising my score-reading skills to co-produce the session alongside Richard, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Additionally, I provided a PA system for live sound.
The audio and video recorded on the day was edited together to create a trailer for Richard Greer's new work. A collaborative effort, Wandern did the film and talking heads audio, while I was responsible for recording/mixing the music.
